Day-Time Emergency And Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and staff on duty six days a week (we are closed on Sundays) who are trained and equipped to take care of any urgent care needs your pet has. Emergencies can include situations like your pet getting hit by a car, or chocolate intake. Please do not hesitate to call us. For after-hours emergency treatment, we have two emergency centers options listed when you call our office – either Metzger’s Animal Hospital in State College or Animal Emergency Center in Watsontown. Once you make your selection, our operator will directly connect you with the selected emergency hospital.  We encourage you to call in before coming so we can be fully prepared to advise you on your emergency.

When conditions are non-life-threatening, we will work to accommodate you in-between your scheduled appointments. Our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long your wait will be in order to be seen.

Call us at 570-769-6088 immediately if you have an emergency! If after hours, contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center’s 24-hour hotline at 888-426-4435. Trained toxicologists will consider the age and health of your pet, what was ingested, and then make a recommendation about what action should be taken.
