Rachael Baust, a native of central Pennsylvania, was born and raised in Beech Creek. She graduated from Penn State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences, focusing on beef production and minoring in equine science and agricultural business management.
To continue her passion for animals, she joined our practice in 2009. Rachael grew up showing, raising, and training horses. Currently, five Arabian horses hold her heart: Bella, Magnum, Remus, Lady, and Sunny. Rachael married her college sweetheart, Tom, in 2011.
Rachael and Tom share their home with two lucky stray cats, Ficken and Marigold, known as their “resident porch protectors,” along with Bhaer, a golden retriever. Aside from animals, her hobbies include kayaking, reading, hiking, and PSU football.
